The next season of one of our guiltiest TV pleasures, America's Next Top Model, is currently filming in New Zealand with an interesting new addition to the lineup: Vogue's own big friendly giant, Andre Leon Talley.
Ever since Tyra's bizarre blackface episode, we'll admit we've been keeping a closer eye the show that really launched Tyra Banks' TV career. Originally rumors were flying that Kimora Lee Simmons and Andre Leon Talley would be guest judging at some point during the next season, but now the Cut has put two-and-two together from a few reports out of New Zealand, the end result being it looks like Talley will become more of a regular fixture. We'll have to see if he ends up being a regular judge, or if he's only filming in New Zealand.
Considering Talley's towering stature and theatrical presence (did anyone else see Valentino? His reaction to those colorful printed capes was textbook Talley!), we think he'd make a killer addition to the regular lineup. Not only does his temperament already suit the show (that positive energy, that devil-may-care whimsy), but with two decades of experience at Vogue under his belt, he actually has the cred to back it up
