We're Loving: YakBlak Sunglasses
YakBlak

We discovered YakBlak's incredible selection of restored vintage sunglasses during Atlantic Antic, the biggest annual open air market in Brooklyn, and we've been converts ever since.

The YakBlak duo acquires and restores old deadstock frames to their initial glory -- as in: polishing, fixing hinges, and often even replacing the lenses entirely. Whereas most vintage stores offer retro sunnies as a bonus near the register, YakBlak offers an incredibly comprehensive selection of completely unique pieces -- all literally as good as new. The brand is thoroughly committed to the whole "everything old is new again" beat -- their street-vending display is made completely of found or upcycled materials, and they're committed to being a fully sustainable company.

Keep an eye out for the YakBlak at various Brooklyn street fairs and flea markets -- take a peek at upcoming events on their website -- or shop the collection of oversize, cat-eye, round, and colorful frames straight from the comfort of your own couch.
