Stella McCartney, Vera Wang, Giorgio Armani and More Auction for Earth Day

To commemorate the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, The Green Auction: A Bid to Save the Earth launched its online component on Charitybuzz, featuring prizes like custom fittings from Stella McCartney and Angela Missoni, lunch with Vera Wang and a custom Armani, plus lots more.

Stella McCartney will personally fit a pair of "His and Hers" bespoke suits made with sustainable fabric, while Vera Wang has pledged a $10,000 credit to the flagship store (is that a gift card the size of an iPad or something?) and a chance to lunch with her.  Face time is the trend -- of course, the highest bidders can likely buy whatever they might want, so we'd imagine a personal touch is the real seller -- and Angela Missoni follows suit with her own personal fitting and lunch date.  Giorgio Armani will auction a specially made couture gown for the highest bidder to wear to the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party (frankly, just the invite to the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party would be enough for us).  A host of other auctions will be hawking prime merch from Proenza Schouler, Harry Winston, Marni, Ermenegildo Zegna, Gucci, Nina Ricci and Irene Neuwirth.

The Green Auction partners include Oceana, Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), Central Park Conservancy and Conservation International and in addition to the Charitybuzz events, will host an invitation-only live auction at Christie's on Earth Day, April 22.
