The brick-and-mortar outpost of Jade Lai's incredibly stylish e-shop, Creatures of Comfort, might be in L.A., but now we can snap up some charming separates from the newly-launched eponymous line at Steven Alan and online. Even better, we hear a New York store is in the works!
Regardless of zip code, fashionable gals have relied on the expertly curated wares at Creatures of Comfort through the store's e-commerce site, which offers brands like Rachel Comey, VPL, and Acne. The focus on Lai's new line, however, is on more timeless fare: polka dot wool skirts, crisp button-downs with a bow at the collar, and jumpsuits. As Lai told Style File, she'd love to even start collaboration with other designers down the road.
Right now, New Yorkers can buy the Creatures of Comfort-brand pieces at Steven Alan and also online at creaturesofcomfort.us, but apparently Lai is planning to open a New York outpost in late 2010! Needless to say, we'll be keeping our ears to the ground for more news on that score.
