See Sarah Palin's “Funny Shoes” at FIT

Right now at the Museum at FIT you can not only catch a glimpse of the Isabel Toledo dress Michelle Obama wore to the inauguration, you can also see a pair of those "funny shoes" Palin wore (a.k.a. Naughty Monky red peep-toe pumps).

Michelle's dress (which is apparently "like Mecca") is on exhibit as part of Isabel Toledo's fashion retrospective (which closes September 26), but the newer "Fashion & Politics" exhibit will be up until November 7. It was Valerie Steele, the director of the Museum at FIT, that called the Palin's shoes "funny," laughing, "I can't remember the name, but they are some kind of sexy high heels."

While the museum wasn't able to get the actual pair Palin was wearing (Palin apparently abstained from donating), the museum was meticulous in selecting a match for her infamous heels, which are on view along with designer Catherine Malandrino's 9/11 flag dress and paper outfits covered in the phrase "Ike Ike Ike."
