It's a sad day when an independently-owned boutique closes its doors, even if it will go out with a bang (and by bang we mean massive shoe sale).
Long a favorite for its thoughfully-picked goods and a constantly packed calender of events, Clarabella attracted a fleet of savvy shoppers to its tiny location on the south side of East Houston. Although owner Erin Whelan will keep the store's website alive, she's shuttering the storefront at the end of August. The good news is, she's decided to do a bit of housekeeping before the close in the form of a big sale the week of August 24. Mark your calendars: Pairs from Tashkent, Devotte and Farylrobin will all go for less than $100. All our best, Erin!
