Artist Noguchi Makes Chanel-Logo Armor. Yes, Armor.

Perhaps inspired by the Art of the Samurai exhibit that just closed at the Met, artist Tetsuya Noguchi has created a fleet of (breathtakingly beautiful) armor emblazoned with a Chanel motif, making for some pretty chic warriors.

That's right, this new sartorial staple "allows the wearer to flaunt his superior social status while crushing the enemy on the battlefield.”  Sounds reasonable, and of course we've been looking everywhere for something like this because chain mail is so last season.  The designer defense duds are composed of resin, cashew lacquer, cloth and glass and prominently feature those fierce double-C's for war intimidation tactics.

All joking aside, we're thinking we might need some of this stuff for fashion week ...
