Lady Gaga Accepts ACE Award in Lace Mask
In a fitting turn, Lady Gaga accepted the Accessories Council's Stylemaker award wearing a fantastic lace headpiece and an underwear ensemble straight off Marc Jacob's Spring 2010 runway (Jacobs presented her with the prize).
In her speech, Gaga thanked Nasir Mazhar -- the designer of the incredible orbiting hat that really put her on the map, style-wise, when she wore it on "Ellen." She also swore that she and her style team would never do a clothing line -- rumors to the contrary -- saying "We are not an economy."
Other ACE winners included TOMS shoes founder Blake Mycoskie, who arrived with model/designer Erin Wasson and picked up a Humanitarian award, Christopher Bailey and Burberry for brand of the year, and Gilt Groupe and Zappos.com for retail.
