Given the cult French designer's burgeoning status among the fashion community (it's impossible to overstate how in-demand she seems these days), news of her opening a New York outpost has elicited peals of glee from almost every indie fashion fan in the city.
Racked had reported on the rumors earlier this year, and then Style.com finally confirmed it (no doubt by sneaking a word with the designer before or after her show in Paris today). The Marant store will open at the very beginning of 2010, near the corner of Broome and Greene. We're starting to save up already!
