First Look: Comme des Garcons x The Beatles
Comme des Garcons via WWD

Rei Kawakubo's much-anticipated designs for Comme des Garcons' collaboration with The Beatles includes a somewhat underwhelming bag mixing the designer's signature polka dots with the Apple Corps Ltd. logo.

We're tempted to agree with the folks at Racked, who were "nonplussed" by the offerings -- especially since the designer had such a breadth of Beatles iconography to be work with.

According to WWD, the designer wanted the collection have have a "strong, conceptual" approach, and per Sir Paul McCartney, none of the bags were made with leather (they're embossed polyurethane or printed PVC).

Prices for the line range from $115 for a t-shirt to $860 for the most high-end bag, and will be available in Tokyo on November 20 at the Trading Museum, a CDG concept store. Adrian Joffe, the CEO of CDG, told WWD that the brand plans to roll the line out to international stores very slowly, even adding new styles.
