Clippings: A 13-Year-Old Interviews Rodarte

- Rodarte recruited "teen blogging sensation" Tavi to interview the designers about their upcoming Target line. As Kate Mulleavy said, "I am always astonished by her observations." We must admit, we didn't see much that was astonishing about the coverage, unless you count the soon-to-launch collection, which really is breathtaking. [Style File]

- In other Rodarte news, the sisters Mulleavy are apparently collaborating with photographer Ryan McGinley by making some outfits for a Winter Olympics shoot. Rodarte ski team bodysuits? Rodarte figure skating uniforms?! We can't wait to see the results. [Hint Mag via Fashionologie]

- Lady Gaga met the Queen! Apparently she really wanted to do a suicide scene, but was advised not to, and "had to tone things down generally." And by "tone things down," she of course meant wearing a full-length red rubber gown. [The Cut]

- Lara Stone is officially replacing Madonna as the face of Louis Vuitton. The Spring 2010 campaign couldn't be further from Madonna's Fall 2009 pages -- Stone is photographed lounging in the grass in a floral dress surrounded by doves, where Madonna posed in a sexy underground French cafe wearing fishnets. - Daphne Guinness has swapped her skunk-like locks for a jet black 'do, and is now featured in a rather unlikely turn as the face of Akris in the brand's spring campaign (from Alexander McQueen platforms to women's suiting?). [Fashionista]
