Castor & Pollux Goes E-Commerce
Castor & Pollux

In a boon to those who can't always make their way to its leafy West Village outpost, well-edited boutique Castor & Pollux -- long on many a fashion editor's hit list -- just launched a fully shoppable (and well-designed) new website.

For owner Kerrilynn Pamer -- whose latest finds are often featured in our Boutique Beat flash on Thursdays -- the process has been slow, but ultimately satisfying. After a week of testing the site and unveiling the look to a few beta testers (our editors among them), Pamer was ecstatic to reveal the new site, which features all of the boutiques signature under-the-radar pieces -- minimalist Acne one-shoulder dresses, Risto Bimbiloski knitwear, Kimberly Ovitz cut-out dresses, and Aesa gold jewelry -- as well as a charming "Loving" blog that features everything from Momofuku-inspired picked fennel to the menu at Williamsburg's Marlow & Sons.

The site overall has a wonderfully vintage newspaper, vibe -- and in this case the "extra! extra!" is that you can finally shop the gem of a store's wares from the comfort of your couch, if you so desired. Or (ahem) send friends gifts for the holidays.

Castor and Pollux is located at 238 West 10th Avenue

Kelly is a reformed sorority girl, aspiring yogini and closet magazine junkie, who also might be the only writer in New York who prefers Manhattan over Brooklyn.
