Ashley Olsen and Isaac Mizrahi to Speak at Y

Hear the two designers' takes on the future of women's fashion in a panel this Wednesday moderated by Glamour editor Cindi Lieve.

The talk promises to take as its focus the changing world of women's fashion -- from the luxury market to the "Michelle Obama effect" to how women shop. Also on hand will be Pulitzer Prize-winning Washington Post writer Robin Givhan.

We'd certainly be interested to hear the dual takes from Olsen and Mizrahi, considering the different paths they've taken in terms of retail. Olsen has really been taking the high road with two relatively expensive clothing lines -- Elizabeth & James and the high-end basics line The Row. On the other hand, Mizrahi really came back into the fashion spotlight with a collaboration wih Target (one of the first affordable-designer lines out there) and most recently a partnership with Liz Claiborne, in addition to his high-end collection.
