America Ferrera Braces for Monday's Shooting of the Final “Ugly Betty”

If there was a fashion flag, it would be at half-staff as Monday morning marks the beginning of the end of "Ugly Betty."

"It's hard for me to imagine what my life is going to be like after that last day," said series star America Ferrera, discussing the final day of shooting at press day for her Dreamworks film, "How to Train Your Dragon."

"I've been doing (Betty) for the last four years, five days a week, 10 months out of the year."

She kept the lid on any "Betty" final episode secrets: "I can't tell you how it will finish, then you wouldn't watch it," she said. But Ferrera insisted the entire cast feels the same way, "so lucky we had it. It was part of our lives."

In the meantime, the final episode shooting comes at the end of an insane stretch for the actress ending with her promoting her role in the excellent "Dragon" before dealing with the mixed emotions of ending the show that made her a star. But after all of this, her schedule is suddenly looking very clear.

"I had a film come out last week, And 'Dragon' is coming out this week (March 26)," Ferrera said. "I also produced and acted in a film that premiered at Sundance."

"And then Betty's ending," said Ferrara. "Four years of my life culminated this month."

While her calendar is clear for new projects, she admits she has nothing. "I think what I am probably going to do is sleep and relax," Ferrera said. "And then have that exciting feeling that anything is possible."
