Ever since delivering the out-of-nowhere comedic gem "Super Troopers," the guys from the Broken Lizard comedy troupe have been trying in vain to recapture the magic. Here comes their next attempt.
Geek goddess Olivia Munn, she of "Attack of the Show" and "Daily Show" fame, has landed the female lead opposite Paul Schneider (formerly of "Parks & Recreation") in "Baby Maker," reported Variety.
Broken Lizard's's Jay Chandrasekhar will direct a script from Peter Gaulke and Gerry Swallow ("Ice Age: The Meltdown"), while BL's Kevin Heffernan will co-star
Schneider plays a guy desperate to have a kid, who decides to break into a sperm bank in hopes of stealing back a specimen he sold in his youth, Munn presumably is his spouse. One shudders to think why it is that Schenieder's character was once able to make a viable deposit, but no longer can.
Munn can next be seen Sept. 16 in Sarah Jessica Parker's "I Don't Know How She Does It," and was recently cast in Aaron Sorkin's new HBO pilot "More as the Story Develops."
