"How To Train Your Dragon" Sequel Could Open New Worlds

With "How To Train Your Dragon" finally taming "Alice in Wonderland" at the box office, the inevitable question is, will there be a "Dragon" sequel?

Cressida Cowell, the Scottish author who penned the popular children's book which became the hit movie, certainly sees the potential.

"I've written eight in the time it's taken them to make one movie," she says.

Like a dragon guarding a gold hoard, Dreamworks bought up the film rights to the books -- sealing the deal just before the the hype of the critically-praised film started in earnest.

"They bought them all before Christmas," says Cowell. "I think we're covered. They bought all of them."

Writer-director Chris Sanders said at the film's press day that if the film "was a success and embraced" then "there certainly is a potential for mining that world."

"Now that we have Vikings on dragon-backs, it opens a lot of worlds, " said Sanders. "There are many adventures these characters could get into together."
