"Precious"
Newcomer Gabourey Sidibe stars as an obese, illiterate, pregnant, HIV-positive teen in Harlem opposite an eyeopening performance from Mo'nique, who cast aside her comic ways to give a searing portrayal of an abusive mother.
"I don't know what to say," he began. "This if for everybody who works on a dream every day, precious boys and girls everywhere.. the cast and crew... my two brothers ..." he continued as he grew progressively more emotional. He finally apologized for "blanking" as the room sat in a stunned silence that Martin shattered with one of his better one-liners of the night.
