Bruce Willis Is “Seeing Red,” and So Will We

OK, it's been a while since Bruno has had any real success outside the safety of John McLane, but his new comic-based venture just started shooting and it looks promising.

"Red," based on the DC Comic of the same name, stars Bruce Willis as Frank Moses, an ex-CIA black-ops man who gets dragged out of retirement. The film just started shooting in Toronto.

Moses is forced to bring his cronies out of the mothballs when he learns that an assassin is out to get him, putting his lady friend, played by Mary-Louise Parker, in peril. Why MLP doesn't get more/better work is a mystery -- she's talented and a stone fox.

Yes, it all sounds a little trite, but in addition to Willis and Parker, the film stars Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich, Helen Mirren, Karl Urban, Brian Cox, Richard Dreyfuss and Ernest Borgnine.

With that kind of talent on deck -- Ernest Borgnine! -- it's bound to be worth 90 minutes of your time.
