From White House To This House: Rahm Emanuel Blocked From Renting Former Residence

The White House chief of staff, who's rumored to be leaving D.C. to run for mayor in Chicago, once lived in this North Side house from September 2009 to September 2010 and tried to move back in, according to Chicago Sun-Times columnist Michael Sneed. However, its current tenant, industrial real estate developer Robert P. Halpin, refused to let Rahm take back his place.
