Historic Home of Ernest Hemingway Sold
Fans of Ernest Hemingway just lost out on their chance to own a slice of history. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the boyhood Oak Park, Illinois home of the renowned author and journalist is under contact. Hemingway's house, which was listed for $525,000, was built by Henry G. Fiddelke in 1906, with help from the writer's mother, Grace Hall Hemingway. While the house is certainly ripe with historic significance, it certainly needs a lot of restorations.
