Katy Perry Sells at a Loss in New York

Newly single pop star Katy Perry just sold her two-bedroom penthouse in New York's Tribeca neighborhood, reports the New York Observer. Perry owned the condo unit for about two years, around the same amount of time she was married to British funny man, Russell Brand.

Perry's former digs, which she originally listed for $2.75 million in February, feature a cherrywood staircase that connects the sunny living room and master bedroom, as well as a spacious terrace, two bedrooms, and two baths. The sophisticated abode also includes a limestone kitchen, three South facing windows, and an original wooden beamed ceiling.

The "I Kissed a Girl" singer shelled out $2.68 million for the duplex back in 2010 right before marrying Brand. The final sale price of the spread was $2.62 million, meaning that Perry took a loss on the sale, though we doubt she's anywhere near counting pennies at this point in her career.
