Oprah Tours a $68M New Jersey Mansion

Could Oprah Winfrey be moving to the east coast? According to the New York Post, Oprah is house hunting in the elite "Estates at Alpine" neighborhood in Alpine, NJ.

The entertainment mogul and billionaire was spotted yesterday touring the most expensive home in what is said to be the most expensive zip code in America, according to Forbes magazine. The 30,000-square-foot mega mansion boasts five stories, 19 bedrooms, and 12 bathrooms.  More lavish features of the home include: a library, ballroom, basketball court, wine cellar, carriage house and 11-car garage.

The stone English-style mansion sits on six acres—land at an estimated value of $15 million—and was formerly part of the Frick estate, owned by the grandson of steel magnate Henry Clay Frick. View the listing.

UPDATE: Oprah tweeted on November 19, 2010, "No truth to me looking for a house in Jersey. No idea who started that rumor. Been in Chicago all week working."
