Go ahead and add “cartoon animation” to Sufjan Stevens’ prodigious skill set.
The Brooklyn-based multi-instrumentalist animated a new music video for “Get Real Get Right,” off electronic-leaning 2010 effort The Age of Adz.
The video, edited by Deborah Johnson and courtesy of Stevens’ Asthmatic Kitty label, features a whole host of alien spacecraft, robo-warriors and monsters doing battle with one another.
Stevens, who directed and scored the documentary The BQE, a cinematic and symphonic homage to the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway, will perform at Prospect Park Bandshell on Aug. 2 and Aug. 3 as part of Celebrate Brooklyn!
