Sharon Van Etten dropped by "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" at the end of last week to perform "Serpents" from her upcoming album Tramp, which will be out on Feb. 7 via Jagjaguwar and is excellent.

Produced by The National's Aaron Dessner and featuring guest spot's from Wye Oak's Jenn Wasner, The Walkmen's Matt Barrick, Zach Condon of Beirut and Julianna Barwick, Tramp is going to be there for you the next time it's late and the world seems overbearing.

Etten's performance, which we have below, seems like a good time to point out that the New York-based songwriter will be playing some area shows.

She will be at the Music Hall of Williamsburg on Feb. 24 and the Bowery Ballroom on Feb. 25 with labelmates Shearwater.
