Long Island guitar effects peddlers Cymbals Eat Guitars have released a video for their new single "Definite Darkness," which appears on last year's Lenses Alien.
None of the guys appear in the video, which follows the auditions, heartaches and triumphs of a group of dance students.
But director Jamie Harley perfectly matched the swell and release of the song with the dancers' movements, and the expansive anguish of the song makes for a surprisingly fitting soundtrack.
As we mentioned a little while ago, Cymbals Eat Guitars will play the Bowery Ballroom with Cursive on April 3 and April 4. Should you like catharsis writ large, you'll likely have a good time with that double bill.
