The stiff $100 concert is set to go on sale at noon via Ticketmaster, and despite the lofty ticket price it is highly advised that if you’re willing to shell out the coin than you better be hitting refresh at 11:59am for a chance to get in.
The night will celebrate the release of West’s latest masterpiece that has received a gushing review from the New York Times along with the tag of best new music and a rating of 10.0 (on a scale of 1 to 10) from Pitchfork.
To put that into perspective, rarely is a new release given a 10.0 and some of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’s company include reissues of legendary albums like Radiohead’s Kid A, Neutral Milk Hotel’s In the Aeroplane Over the Sea and Weezer’s Pinkerton. A surprise appearance at Pitchfork's Offline Festival in October at Brooklyn Bowl may have helped put him in the good graces of their editors, but that's just one guy's speculation.
With all the special guests on My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and Kanye West’s love for all things dramatically epic, concertgoers should be in for a once in a lifetime performance. Now you just have to decide if that is really worth a hard earned Benjamin to be one of them.
Just imagine the envy of all your teenage cousins at this year's Thanksgiving dinner and realize $100 really isn't that much.
