    NEWSLETTERS

    • Elysian Fields alight at (Le) Poisson Rouge with tracks from their latest album The Afterlife and more before jetting off to Europe, where they enjoy the cult status the U.S. reserves for your David Byrnes and your Devendra Banharts. Go hear their lush orchestration layered over with Jennifer Charles’ smoky vocals and clue in to why. Envelope-pushing downtown fixture Justin Bond joins. 7PM.
    • The Gaslight Anthem—heirs apparent to the Springsteenian Jersey-Boy-Makes-Good throne of retroish rock with bittersweet lyrics—should tear the roof off of Radio City tonight. Get yourself a free download of their new cover of Fake Problems’ track Song For Teenagers over at the A.V. Club here. 8PM.
    • Two of our favorite Scottish indie imports, Belle and Sebastian and Teenage Fanclub, play East State River Park on the early side. The chamber-pop of the former and mellowed-post-grunge of the latter have only improved with age. 5PM.
