In “a picture is worth a thousand swooning Brooklyn girls,” the National announced Sunday production of their new music video, which stars another fangirl-friendly face. “Video shoot prep!” Tweeted the High Violet rockers as they posted a photo of the band poised in makeup chairs.
The big-reveal cameo came a few succinct Tweets later (follow the succession here) when Mad Men actor John Slattery popped up in the on-set photos. The video’s song has not been revealed yet. SPIN eagerly reported the news this morning; perhaps they’ve read Sterling’s Gold, as well. (It’s the perfect gift for the failed/fictitious writer who has everything!)
So, depending on your level of obsession for the booming, literate rockers, Santa may have come early to Brooklyn.
