    NEWSLETTERS

Canadian alt-pop sister act Tegan and Sara have announced a special screening for their upcoming CD/DVD combo package Get Along on Nov. 21 at Village East Cinema.

Get Along is actually three different films, all of which will be screened. "States" uses American tour footage and interviews to examine their early career and their fanbase. "India" is a documentary about their first tour of India, and "For the Most Part" is a live concert film shot in Vancouver; the package also comes with a live disc. You can check out a trailer here

Now, the film screenings are all well and good, but clearly the main reason to make it out is that they will be followed by a question and answer session with the Quin sisters, who are often profane and hilarious.

Their concerts are filled with a great many hooky odes to heartbreak, but the highlights are often the between-song moments where the sisters ramble on and make fun of each other. A concentrated dose of this is well worth checking out.
