Regina Spektor Sails Away

Regina Spektor has released "All The Rowboats," the first single from her upcoming album What We Saw from the Cheap Seats, which she finished a while ago with producer Mike Elizondo.

Elizondo brings some of his hip-hop production experience to the tune (dude helped out with "In Da Club," don't ya know) as "Rowboats" features some punched-in electronic drums mixed in with Spektor's signature sensitive but not too-sensitive piano stylings and existential musings.

Seats is set for release at some point this spring, though an exact date has yet to be nailed down. Spektor will support the album with an opening dates for Tom Petty, whose daughter directed this colorful video.
