There aren't many voices that instantly telegraph yuletide, but Ronnie Spector – who, with the Ronettes and producer/then-husband Phil Spector, recorded some of the most memorable holiday tunes in the canon – is one of them. I love this song so much. The lyrics are so heavy, but Stevie sings with such hope and optimism, and really captures the spirit.
The late great Karen Carpenter, I just love her voice... always have, always will. It's so pure.
This is the catchiest Christmas tune of all time, why not groove a little over the holidays?
My old friend David Bowie. This is an unbeatable combination of talent, and the message never grows old.
[I'll admit] my number one Christmas tune of all time is this one, by [yours truly].
The 28th Annual Seaport Chorus Tree Lighting Spectacular is Friday November 25 at 5PM.
