So it’s nearly criminal that Clinton and P-Funk are playing their show – part of BAM’s free, outdoor R&B Festival at MetroTech -- at noon on a Thursday.
Then again, the heat’s cooled off, the sun is shining… may we suggest taking a personal day? Also, knowing the band’s penchant for epic, endless jam sessions, this could turn into an evening gig after all.
Upcoming shows in BAM’s free Thursday lunchtime R&B series include Dionne Ferris and a tribute to the New Orleans treme sound with the Mardi Gras Indians and sax man Cyril Neville.
