Pitchfork Announces #Offline Festival at Brooklyn Bowl

via Myspace

#Offline Festival highlights include A-Trak (L) and Wild Nothing (R).

This afternoon the all-knowing online indie bible known simply as Pitchfork announced their #Offline Festival that will span October 21-23 at Williamsburg’s hipster Copacabana - Brooklyn Bowl. The website is no stranger to festivals as they throw an annual self-titled event every summer in Chicago, but this time they’ve thrown a wrench in the rest of New York’s plans by scheduling #Offline the same week as the CMJ Music Marathon.

While it remains unclear whether or not the two festivals will end up working harmoniously, the initial reports lead us to believe that they will remain autonomous. Some online publications take this as an attack on the long standing CMJ, but in a city of New York’s magnitude there are typically enough people to spread around to make everyone successful.

The three-day event will feature a slew of artists ranging from the established to the up-and-comers and culminating with a 3rd Anniversary party for Fool’s Gold Records.  Each day kicks-off at 2:00pm and continues deep into the night. The bowling lanes and Blue Ribbon run restaurant adds incentive to those of you daring enough to brave what is sure to be the indie elite’s event of the year. Below is the full schedule for the first annual #Offline Festival curated by Pitchfork. Tickets are only $10 and available now.
