Who:
Pajama Club is the new group anchored by Neil Finn and his wife, Sharon (second from left, pictured). Finn’s new incarnation—the latest in a nonstop stream that includes Crowded House and his successful solo career—finds the New Zealand song-craftsman in top form: The tunes land somewhere between garage rock and Crowded House’s familiar melodic pop.

And the band’s name? It springs from how the songs—and the band itself—came to be: Neil ad Sharon began jamming together just for fun at home, drinking wine, wearing pajamas, which not only makes us want to buy the album, it also makes us want to be married to Neil Finn.

Pajama Club’s self-titled debut full-length comes out September 13 through Lester Records/Redeye; meantime, grab this track below and mark your calendar for June 26: The Finns—along with the band's Sean Donnelly (SJD) and ex-Grates drummer Alana Skyring, far left and right--bring Pajama Club to Bowery Ballroom.
