MpFree Wednesday: French Horn Rebellion

Who: By day, Robert and David Perlick-Molinari are two unassuming brothers who grew up in Milwaukee. By night, they become French Horn Rebellion, creating a dizzying blend of dance, electro, synth-pop and funk that has landed them on tours and double bills with the likes of Hot Chip, Sleigh Bells, The Drums, Cut Copy, and MGMT.

After unleashing their sound on the world via three EPs, the Brooklyn-based duo just physically released their debut album The Infinite Music of French Horn Rebellion (Once Upon A Time Records), and they come to Glasslands on Thursday to play a record release show with openers Savoir Adore and Golden Pony – a furtive break from their current gig opening for supporting French electro pop outfit Yelle on a 27-city North American tour. Tickets are $10 and available here.

Download this: Grab the disco-ish This Moment, which has whiffs of early Prince (check out the music video below), and get three other tracks (“Brasilia Girl”, “The Body Electric” and “Broken Heart”) via an album sampler here.
