John Zorn, Thurston Moore and NYU Faculty Rock Against NYU Expansion

John Zorn, who curated much of the musical entertainment for the benefit, improvised explosive runs on his saxophone as Thurston Moore joined the barrage of noise with thunderous feedback on his electric guitar.

John Zorn, Thurston Moore and NYU Faculty Rock Against NYU Expansion

The NYU Faculty Against the Sexton Plan held a benefit rock concert at Le Poisson Rouge to "Save the Village" and raise funding for legal action against NYU's 2031 expansion plans. John Zorn and John Kruth curated the music of the evening, featuring Thurston Moore, Jesse Harris, David Amram and others in an evening of protest.
