Fresh out of their latest lineup reshuffling, Interpol has announced its first area shows of the year.
The local New Wave rockers will hit the Paramount Theatre in Asbury Park, N.J., on Friday, May 6 and Terminal 5 in New York on Sunday, May 8, according to Livenation.
Caveat: the latter show is called the “Sick Day Fuzzy Sock Hop,” of all the godforsaken names, and at press time, it is only listed on the Livenation site, not Terminal 5. Stay tuned.
Paramount Theatre tickets go on sale Friday, March 18 at 10 a.m. and are $23-$58.
For the record: headlining a show in Asbury Park does not make Bruce Springsteen contractually obligated to make a cameo, but don’t rule it out.
Interpol would deliver an excellent “Whip My Hair” counterpoint.
