Headcount Offers Haynes Hang

Non-partisan voter registration organization HeadCount is gearing up for what will no doubt be a busy and interesting 2012. The organization sends volunteers to concerts to register music fans to vote, and has gotten public endorsements from the likes of The National, Pearl Jam, Nine Inch Nails and The Roots.

They're into lots of styles and viewpoints, but the organization has deep roots in the jam band scene; one of the founders plays crunchy grooves for The Disco Biscuits, and HeadCount has been a regular presence at the Bonnaroo festival since 2004. So it's appropriate the jam kings Gov't Mule are auctioning off a VIP experience to benefit HeadCount. Fans can currently bid on a package, timed around the group's annual Beacon Theatre run; the upcoming one takes place on Dec. 30 and 31.

The VIP package includes two tickets somewhere in the first 10 rows, a chance to meet frontman Warren Haynes in person, admission to soundcheck and a pre-party on Dec 30., a photo opportunity with the band and limited edition Gov't Mule New Year's Eve Poster.
