Foo Fighters pull into Madison Square Garden on November 13 and tickets for this highly anticipated concert go on sale Friday at 10am.+

If 2011 would belong to any rock band, Dave Grohl and the rest of the Foo Fighters made sure it would be theirs.

Their seventh and most recent studio album, Wasting Light, hit stores in early April and a week later their expected dominance was confirmed when the U.S. Billboard 200 chart awarded them the much coveted No. 1 spot. The Butch Vig-produced album was well received by the music press which was another step in the right direction for the Foo’s quest for world domination.

Last Sunday the Foo Fighters closed the popular summer festival Lollapalooza in Grant Park right in the heart of Chicago. They played to tens of thousands of fans, but remember, this is just another day at the office for one of the world’s most popular alternative rock bands.

The Foo Fighters’ journey continues in September when the band puts their heads down and digs through a two-month tour across the United States that has them playing three area shows.

The previously announced concerts on September 26 at the Izod Center in East Rutherford and November 14 at Prudential Center in Newark are already on sale, but at 10am tomorrow morning, tickets will be available to the general public for the November 13 Foo Fighters concert at Madison Square Garden.

Tickets for the MSG show range from $69.50 at the high end to $49.50 at the low end. The price tag includes sets by support acts Social Distortion and The Joy Formidable.

Our best guess is that this show will sell out quickly so you’ll have to act fast if you want to see the one of the world’s most famous bands play the world’s most famous arena.
