Broadway Week, kind of like Restaurant Week for the theater, is designed for people like us: cheap and lazy.
Because if you’re like us, you live here but rarely get around to seeing the big fat musicals because Broadway tickets are hella expensive and we can’t quite stomach workarounds like endless waiting in line at TKTS or those show-up-at-the-theater-20-minutes-before-the-show-starts situations.
But during Broadway Week, running January 24 through February 10, 20+ major productions are offering up two tickets for the price of one, with remarkably few restrictions (like maximum tickets per order, or the deal applying to mezzanine seats only).
A few clicks scrounged up the possibility of seeing American Idiot (with Billie Joe Armstrong in his reprise of St. Jimmy) for as low as $25 per person (with two-for-one tickets starting at $49) or Jersey Boys (which your mom has been dying for you to take her to) or La Cage Aux Folles for about $32 per person.
