Good news for thugs and scum and punks and freaks and, uh, regular people who like indie rock that doesn't skimp on the rock part of the equation: Archers of Loaf are playing the Music Hall of Williamsburg on April 29.
Tickets go on sale here Friday.
The influential North Carolina band reissued their debut Icky Metal via Merge last summer, and reunited for a series of live shows, including a couple of quickly sold-out New York outings.
On Feb. 21, they will reissue their sophomore album Vee Vee, which was just as hooky, noisy and cantankerous, and included the "us vs. the underground vs. them" anthem "Harness In Slums," the lyrics of which we nicked for that lede up above.
As is customary, the Vee reissue will include a remastered version of the out-of-print album, informative liner notes and 16 bonus tracks. If you order now, Merge will throw in an Archers of Loaf pennant, which is a callback to a piece of merch the band offered back in the day.
