Designer Cynthia Rowley Gets Bashful in Front of Starlet Blake Lively

Designer Cynthia Rowley, who made a cameo on "Gossip Girl" last week, said she felt embarrassed getting acting tips from leggy leading lady.

"Blake Lively gave me really good acting tips," Rowley said last night at the 10-year anniversary of nonprofit RxART at the Art Director's Club in Manhattan.

"I was really bad. I don't get nervous, but I can't remember lines. She had to give me tips cause I kept messing it up," she continued. "It's a little embarrassing to be getting acting tips from the lead."

The industry icon joins the ranks of Joe Zee, Rachel Zoe and Charlotte Ronson, who have all made cameos on the fashion-forward hit show.

The designer said Lively coached her not to memorize the script word-for-word but to improvise if necessary.

"You're still staying with the script," she said. "And then I got it!"

Also in attendance last night were James Franco, Terry Richardson, Scott Caan, Paul Sorvino, among others. Leo Fitzpatrick and Nate Lowman lent their DJ skills to the evening.
