New Yorkers who are 60 and over can soon enjoy free tennis, yoga and walking classes, thanks to the CityParks Seniors Fitness programs.
In an effort to encourage seniors to stay active, the City Parks Foundation will offer fitness classes starting Sept. 19 in 16 parks across Manhattan. Equipment is included..
The one-hour sessions will be offered twice a week at each location until Oct. 28.
Exercise also has many benefits including increased energy levels, reduced risk of diabetes and weight control.
Regular attendance is recommended to get results.
