Definitive Link Between Red Meat and Bowel Cancer

A new report confirms the link between red meat and bowel cancer.

The report, overseen by the World Cancer Research Fund and the American Institute for Cancer Research, and called "the most authoritative ever," studied the link between diet, physical activity , weight and colorectal cancer since 2007, reports the Daily News.

The same report also found that fiber-rich foods reduce the risk of bowel cancer.

Scientists recommended avoiding processed meats and limiting weekly meat intake to around five or six medium portions of roast beef, lamb or pork.
