Authors dish on their gift picks this holiday season.

When we're drowning in leftover stuffing, we want nothing more than ot curl up with a good book. So here's something fun to click through if you're in the same frame of mind: We stumbled onto this list of what books Penguin authors will be gifting their loved ones with and what books they'd like to find stuffed into their own stockings this holiday season (and they're not even all published by Penguin!).

It's an extensive roundup of 40+ authors from the publisher, part voyeurism, part pseudo-intellectual, and perfect for a cold November day. Some highlights: Nearly everyone (okay, maybe 5 people) namechecks Junot Diaz's The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao; Eat Pray Love's Elizabeth Gilbert will dole out copies of Miranda July's Learning to Love You More; Secret History of the American Empire's John Perkins has a crush on both Naomis (Klein and Wolf), one author (guess who?) wants "a book of paper dolls," and Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil's John Berendt says you shouldn't even bother gifting him with literature, because "Whenever I want a book I simply buy it."
