The star-studded scene at Yves Saint-Laurent's funeral this year.

While you were busy downloading apps for your new iPhone and obsessively watching "Mad Men," a whole fashion community was almost boiling over with news—mostly bad. Profits have been so low that designers like Betsey Johnson are even swearing off fashion week and even Anna Wintour couldn't protect her darling Men's Vogue from shuttering. Hell, Erin Wasson isn't even Alexander Wang's muse anymore. Is nothing sacred?

Well, local indie fashion site Refinery29 compiled a truly comprehensive roundup of 50 fashion-related things that kicked the proverbial bucket this year, from Yves Saint-Laurent to one of our favorite New York-based labels, Mayle. It's pretty depressing to see it all listed together, especially the stores and lines that have folded: Jovovich-Hawk, Lisa Levine Jewelry, Mooka Kinney, Alessandro Dell'Acqua, Imitation of Christ (even Chloe Sevigny couldn't save them!), Heatherette, and most recently the legendary Bill Blass. The shuttering of another men's magazine, DNR, might have proved for good that no one seems to care about men's fashion, though we guess by that logic, Cosmo Girl might prove no one cares about teens, which we know just can't be true. You'll find the full 50 here.
