Vote For Your Golden Local Today

Who makes the city's best hot dog?

Stadium food enthusiasts said Tuesday there's no gray area in the debate over who makes the city's top dog.

Gray's Papaya boasts the name recognition and a long-loyal customer base, but fans of Crif Dogs said they relish the unusual menu.

Since 1973, Gray's has been serving all-beef dogs topped with onions or sauerkraut. With three locations, the prices are low even before the current "Recession Special," allowing you two dogs and a tropical drink of your choice for less than five bucks.

Crif's, meanwhile, is all about the edge. Where else can you get a Tsunami or a Spicy Redneck? Their deep-fried dogs are smothered in toppings, which explains the slightly higher prices.
