THREAD COUNT: Here's another one you can chalk up to the recession: Frette, the Italian purveyor of luxe linens -- like bedding  that will ruin you for all other bedding for the rest of your life -- has opened an online outlet store. You still have a few days (the site goes away June 6) to scoop up bargains at more than half off, like this bathrobe, $110 (reg. $275). Head here to shop.

BURN AFTER READING: How have we lived this long without personalized jeans? At Diesel's new flagship "planet" on Fifth Avenue, present your perfect pair at the laser-etching machine (the only one of its kind in the U.S.) and get the waistband branded with the words of your choice for $10. Whether you go with your own name, an inspirational phrase or "Mrs. George Clooney" is entirely up to you. (Racked has some snaps of the machine in action.)

PLAYING HOUSE: What do you do when you've spent a storied career designing textiles for the likes of Herman Miller and Charles and Ray Eames? Sketch a line of housewares for Urban Outfitters, natch! Alexander Girard's playful collection hits the trendporium in July; 'til then, peek at a preview via Oh Joy.
