Today's Post investigates a new Meatpacking District scourge: The overwhelming smell of Diane von Furstenberg's signature perfume, which supposedly wafts out of her West 14th Street boutique through the air vents. An unidentified bypasser called the smell ""putrid, awful . . . something you'd find on a 60-year-old matron," and a local medical authority (oh, OK, a receptionist at St. Luke's Hospital Eye Clinic) says it's making people cough. We haven't noticed any odor, but maybe we're there at the wrong times? If you've been afflicted by this ylang ylang-scented menace, let us know in the comments.
