New York Water Taxi, which mainly makes headlines when it cancels commuter service during the winter months and kind of screws some riders is buying Circle Line. Whether this means that our tourist friends will now be threatened with not being able to take a boat ride around Manhattan unless the city coughs up a subsidy is unclear. Also unclear is if the Circle Line boats will all look like Water Taxis. Or whether people that live at Schaefer Landing and are really bitter about Water Taxi will have to take a Circle Line cruise to get to work. The Ikea Water Taxi implications cause our brains to turn into those Swedish meatballs they're serving in Red Hook. [Newyorkology]
